Those of you who know me have heard me say many times, "It takes a village." I think that is true everywhere in life, but never more so than in healing ourselves. It is vital to know expert practitioners of the various healing arts so that when we need them or a friend needs a referral, we have the necessary information at our fingertips.

Most of us have experienced trauma in our lives and, unless we have worked to release it, that trauma is likely to be stored in our physical body and act as an underlying cause that may undermine our health and well-being over the long term.

In this DWS newsletter I want to introduce you to a very talented healer, April Blake, who helped me recover from the diet changes I mistakenly made a few years ago that contributed to a major health crisis for me.

Over the past two years, my healing 'village' included work on myself using the DWS processes as well as with graduates of the DWS Mystery School, work with a talented Naturopath, Hasso Wittboldt-Mueller and the incredible whole food supplements of Standard Process Labs. It was my weekly work with April, however, that began around the first of this year which included liquid homeopathics and the Indigo Biofeedback System, where profound breakthroughs began to systematically occur.

It is April's story and her work that I want to showcase in this newsletter.

In joy & vitality,
Ashley

It Takes a Village

-- Ashley Warrenton-Smith

It is the responsibility of each soul to engage upon the spiritual journey. Many life experiences move us in this direction. These include lack of abundance, heartbreak in relationships of all kinds, disappointments and failures of various kinds, and physical illness.

Each of us has 'buggy code', encodings we have made in earlier lifetimes as well as this lifetime which are not Divine Truth. These are often made under stress and in great trauma. Our inner Divine Self desires these to be recoded into Divine Truth and all of life conspires at the time that is just right for each of us to bring that about.

Many of us fight this with everything in us. We have given away our Divine power so many ways over so many lifetimes that it can be challenging to wake up and take it back. That, however, is Job One. It is the real reason each of us incarnated on Earth at this time.

I have been on my spiritual journey my entire life, although I certainly took some shadowy twists and turns, especially in my 20's and early 30's. While I have enjoyed robust health much of my life, during or after periods of great emotional stress -- always leading to great transformation -- I have manifested chronic fatigue syndrome. Three times in my life.

By this most recent time I had learned a LOT that I didn't know the first two times. This time I was determined the energy pattern of chronic fatigue would leave my field. First, I began to reconstitute my physical body by working with Hasso Wittboldt-Mueller, a Naturopath using Standard Process Labs whole food supplements. This made a major difference for me. I changed my diet away from grains, which are part of what triggered my health crisis, and returned to the diet Source gave me when I was 23 consisting of highest quality meat-derived protein in small quantities with lots of organic super fresh vegetables and fruits. During this time I was seeing Kathy Cheek for regular rolfing and cranio-sacral therapy as well as Trudie London for systematic colonics to clear my gastrointestinal tract.

Around the first of this year, Trudie introduced me to April Blake (see article below). I began intense weekly work with April and Indigo, 3 hours at a session. I also began utilizing homeopathic remedies to bring about deep physical healing as well as continued to take the Standard Process Labs products. Needless to say, I was also doing very deep, consistent Dancing with Source work on myself and with members of our village as well as periodic work with a dear friend and internationally-renowned energy healer and teacher, Raymon Grace.

All of this resulted in three 'aggravations' as a detox is called in homeopathic medicine. The first two were uncomfortable, the third lasted over a month and a half, tested me physically to the maximum -- and, when it was over, my chronic fatigue pattern was gone.

This journey led me to many places of stored 'buggy code' including past lives, karmic patterns, emotional patterns, attachments and more that needed to be transmuted while I was ensuring that my physical body was supported to be able to handle this level of clearing. I am a living testimony that there is no 'one right way', but that we need a village to help us heal ourselves.

We also need to follow our inner Guidance which comes from Source and tells us clearly who is right for us to work with and who is not for us at a certain time as well as which modalities are right for us. No one can do that for us. We must learn to discern the Truth for ourselves and take responsibility for getting the help we need.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people who helped me heal this. I love you each and every one. Most particularly, I wish to thank Source and all the Archangels for your unending help and love. My life is dedicated in service to the Light.

"Enlightenment is about raising our consciousness
and allowing the vibration of the Light of Source
to interpenetrate our very being to the point that
we become that vibration. The journey of
enlightenment is one of conscious personal
mastery of our lower mental and ego body that
results in our profound transformation.

Equally wonderful, as we do this we effect the
morphogenic field and actually help others to do
so. What a win-win!"

-- Ashley Warrenton-Smith

"When we cultivate joy, happiness, and an
expansive sense of spaciousness and freedom
within ourselves it spills over from us into all those
with whom we interact in our lives."

-- Ashley Warrenton-Smith

My Journey of Healing

-- April Blake

I grew up in a very dysfunctional family where both my parents and my brother acted out toward me through physical beatings, sexual violations, emotional punishment and abuse. My first memory of this began around age 2 and continued until I ran away from home at age 13. I lived in a foster home for a year. After my parents divorced and my brother moved out, I went back to live with my mother.

That was the end of the physical abuse but she continued the emotional abuse coupled with a lot of denial and a 'get over it' attitude. My mother showed a much different face in her social and professional life being awarded and honored by her peers and students as an exceptional teacher. When alone with me she was extremely critical and demeaning and at the same time placed much emphasis on my sexual attractiveness, re-enforcing the feeling that was only real "worth."

As if all this did not create enough internal trauma and confusion, I was required not to ever talk about anything, "You better not tell anyone," she would threaten. I internalized a great deal of shame, which led to an intense struggle with drug, alcohol and cigarette addiction that continued into adulthood, which finally balanced out after having children of my own.

I also became very sexually promiscuous trying to find love from men. I was raped three times which compounded the trauma of my childhood. Ultimately I had to have three abortions.

My physical body rebelled. I had chronic acne from the age of 12 to age 40. I developed chronic fatigue which progressed into lupus when I was 40. I completely broke down physically.

I had experienced allergic reactions to pharmaceutical drugs throughout my life, so I began to actively explore alternative healing methods some of which I had been exposed to by my grandmother. These included colon cleansing, wheat grass and juice therapy, as well as vibrational healing with light and color. I also delved into studying everything I could get my hands on, including John Bradshaw's work on the dysfunctional family, and breath-work. I begin to gradually improve. It wasn't until I found the SCIO, the forerunner of the Indigo Biofeedback System I currently use, where I was able to identify the multiple under-lying causes of my symptoms.

Things started to shift on multiple levels of my Being. I began to unwind, to release trauma, toxins, non-beneficial belief systems about myself and all of life -- and my symptoms began to mitigate. One of the biggest things that happened for me was:

I found my voice.

I started to tell the truth to all the people in my life. This really enhanced my healing process. I began to make better choices about my time, energy and the people I allowed in my life. All my relationships changed in the first two years of using the biofeedback system. And my physical body continued to heal. Meditation and prayer became the foundation of my daily life; forgiveness, acceptance and compassion for myself and others helped to release the underlying emotional and spiritual conflicts being replaced by an inner peace and feeling of gratitude that I never could have imagined.

As I observed the power of this work from the inside out, I became more confident, committed and very passionate about learning as much as I could and becoming a certified practitioner. I received my certification in 2004 and continue my training actively to stay at the leading edge of this evolving body of work.

I just turned 58 years old. My brain function, vitality, sleep patterns, digestion and overall health and wellness are better than I ever dreamed they could be. I have been pain-free for the past 7 years after 10 years of debilitating chronic pain.

My life is a living testimony to the power of this work.
